Artsreach is Dorset’s rural touring arts organisation, giving rural communities all over Dorset the opportunity to see and participate in high quality arts events in their own villages. Liaising with performers and village promoters Artsreach puts on live performances covering small and large-scale theatre, live music, dance, comedy, literature, film and puppet shows. They also tour high quality visual arts exhibitions and hold participatory workshops and project work with professional artists and practitioners in local communities. Artsreach is a charitable organisation and aim to make ticket prices accessible to everyone. To enable them to do this Artsreach receives regular funding from Arts Council England, Dorset County Council and North, West, East Dorset and Purbeck District Councils.
Louise Lobban is a former Playsongs Mum and the designer of our beautiful CD covers.
For several years, Louise and her friend and business partner, Joke Mulley, ran Art Explorers, teaching arts and crafts to the under fives. A trained Fine Artist, Louise has worked on a variety of illustrative, graphic design and photographic projects. Most recently, she has concentrated on making and using pinhole cameras and is currently working on an installation of 365 images, which will be exhibited in 2010. Louise lives in Dorset, with her husband Matthew and her two boys, Felix and Otto. Her work can be seen at www.dorsetarts.org

About DEED – DEED is an educational charity that promotes global education within schools, Early Years settings and community groups across the county of Dorset.We seek to explore the links between our own lives and those of people throughout the world, recognising ways in which we are all dependent on each other, pointing out the reasons for inequalities in the world at all levels, and helping people tackle these inequalities in their own everyday lives and actions.
Resources – DEED’s Resource Centre is open from Monday to Thursday each week with over 3,000 titles to loan, buy or just browse. Our resources support global themes such as Homes, Food, Transport, Play and Myself, as well as Art & Craft and many more. We have story books, activity books, photo packs, country artefact collections, play resources, clothes from around the world, musical instruments and recorded music.
Training – Workshops – Advice and Support – DEED offers all schools and Early Years settings in Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset, advice, ideas and a bespoke service of training to meet your specific needs. We also offer workshops for children (or children and their families).
